The KA220 EDU.CIRCULAR international training in Katerini, Greece from 23rd to 26th
February has been an incredible step forward for the project aiming to deploy a Whole
School approach by adapting Circularity Economy strategies in secondary education.
This training brought together project members, teachers, and experts who engaged in
co-creation activities, working collaboratively to design the first 4 lesson plans focused
on circular economy principles that will be piloted in the participating schools over the
next few months. This hands-on approach reflects the project’s commitment to equipping
students with the skills and knowledge to navigate complex societal challenges and
actively participate in the transition from linear to circular economy practices.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore the first version of the XR application,
designed to enhance blended learning experiences by immersing students in real-world
scenarios where they can practice Circularity Thinking strategies. The Moodle platform
and project website were presented, providing a dynamic space for sharing resources,
connecting stakeholders, and fostering continuous learning. EDU.CIRCULAR is not just
about education; it’s about transforming schools into hubs of sustainability where
students, families, and communities collaboratively build a future grounded in circular
practices, environmental awareness, and systemic solutions.
